This is a simple author site/blog intended to keep readers and potential readers informed of existing and upcoming works produced by the author KD DuBois. Any personal information provided, namely an e-mail address, is intended for the sole use of answering questions and sending periodic updates on the author and her work. The site does not sell any product nor require a password to access data. It is not the author’s intent to share e-mail addresses to anyone for marketing purposes. If, at any time, you no longer wish to receive updates, please send an e-mail and let her know what e-mail address you you wish to be removed from her mailing list.

The technical aspects of the site’s privacy policy are below.

KD DuBois receives, collects and stores any information you enter on her website or provide to her in any other way. In addition, due to the platform her site is developed under (Wix.com), the site may collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, e-mail address, and computer and connection information. They may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. They collect personally identifiable information you provide to include e-mail address, comments, feedback, product reviews, and recommendations in a database for KD DuBois to use, specifically, for web site improvement and a periodic newsletter.

If you sign up for a newsletter on her website, as part of the process, the site and MailerLite collect personal information you give such as your email address. Your personal information will only be used for the specific reasons stated above. Signing up for a newsletter means you provide consent for KD DuBois and MailerLite to collect, store, and use your e-mail address for purposes specific to KD DuBois.

The site provides links to the author’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts, plus bookseller sites, for convenience to site users. By accessing those third parties through those links, your information falls under the privacy policies of those individual parties, and you should review their own policies to determine if you wish to provide your information to them.

The site collects such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes: to provide and operate the Services; to be able to contact subscribers with general notices and promotional messages; to create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which may be used to improve the site; to comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

The author site is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides the online platform that allows KD DuBois to communicate her products to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

 

The author site does not use any direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com.

 

KD Dubois may contact you to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about her products, to send periodic information about her blog, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce applicable national laws, and any agreement she may have with you. For these purposes she may contact you via email using the address you provided to her.
