Ten days ago, I pitched my novel, Daughter of the South Wind, to a publisher. Today I got a response--to send them the full manuscript. Which means I made it over the first hurdle in the steeplechase of publishing. Now, I wait for a couple of weeks to find out if it's a yes, no, or maybe.
In the meantime, I've got the first three chapters of the second novel on paper. My goal is to have the first draft complete before the first of September. So I can concentrate on my first Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing class. Because, well, always helps to start something new without any distractions.
